The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 9447 )
Q4: It has become customary to slaughter animals on the seventh night after the wedding, and this is called (al-Sab'iyah). Is this a religious innovation or lawful or forbidden?
A4: The wedding feast is prescribed in marriage, and the poor and the rich among relatives and others are invited to it. If they increase the celebration after that for the reason of her moving from the husband's house to her parents' house or to some relatives, for example, for a visit, there is nothing wrong with it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
