A Woman’s Response to an Invitation

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The twelfth question of Fatwa No. ( 8052 )
Q12: Does a woman commit a sin if she does not respond to the invitation of her sister in Islam, even though her husband has given her permission to go out? And is responding to an invitation, visiting the sick, and visiting Muslims specific to men, or does it include women as well if the husband permits it?
A 12: It is obligatory for a Muslim woman to respond to the invitation of her sister in Islam to a meal or a wedding feast. She commits a sin by turning away from it if her husband has given her permission to go out and there is no evil in the feast, or if there is evil in it that she can change. Otherwise, it is not obligatory, and she does not commit a sin by not responding. Responding to an invitation and visiting the sick is not specific to men. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
