What the fiancé sees of his fiancée

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa number ( 8691 )
Q3: May a girl meet her fiancé with her head uncovered, and what is the ruling on using shampoo and oils in the hair, and using cosmetics for the husband?
A3: The fiancé is considered like a non-mahram man for the woman before the marriage contract is concluded, so he does not seclude himself with her, she does not display her adornment to him, and she does not travel with him. However, he is permitted to look at her before the proposal; so that he may proceed with the proposal or leave it, but without seclusion. The original ruling on using shampoo and oils to anoint the hair is that it is permissible, unless it is confirmed that there is a barrier preventing its use, such as it containing something forbidden, or that it contains harm that exceeds the benefit or equals it; because warding off harms takes precedence over seeking benefits. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
