The ruling on a man speaking to his fiancée

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Your Eminence, we have a large number of questions, and these are four letters from the sender (M. S.) from Dammam, and from Zaidan Khalaf Hussein from Baghdad, Iraq, and from Salim Muhammad 'Amir al-'Asiri from Tihama, 'Asir, and from Salim Muhammad al-Zahrani. We begin, Your Eminence, with the letter from the sender (M. S.) from Dammam, who asks about the groom speaking to his fiancée on the telephone.
She says: I ask you about the ruling on my sister speaking to her fiancé on the telephone, even though he is my cousin, and that she speaks to him with the knowledge of my father, my mother, and all my siblings, and that her fiancé frequently visits my father wanting to finalize the marriage contract, but my father delays due to circumstances. Please inform us, may Allah reward you?
Answer: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance.
As for what follows:
So we do not know of any harm in the engaged woman speaking to her fiancé on the telephone regarding some matters of marriage, and some matters of the marriage contract, or what is related to that in sound conversations that do not involve a forbidden matter or cooperation in a forbidden matter.
However, if the conversation leads to suspicion, or leads to seclusion with her, or to contact with her before the marriage contract is finalized, then this is forbidden and not permissible. He may look at her if there is a need for it, but without seclusion; he looks at her in the presence of her father, her mother, and the like. It is never permissible to be in seclusion with her, because if a man and a woman are in seclusion, Satan becomes the third among them, so it is not permissible.
As for conversations that have no connection to their mutual benefit, but rather to the opposite sex, and what the opposite sex is, and what leads to contact with her that is not permissible, all of this is not permissible. Her father should hasten to finalize the contract so that nothing happens of what Allah has forbidden. He should hasten to finalize the contract so that it becomes lawful for him and lawful for her, and so that it is facilitated to proceed with building his home for her and entering upon her. Yes.
