Q: O esteemed Shaykh, I have committed a sin that leads to a major sin, namely the preliminaries of unlawful sexual intercourse, may Allah protect you from it. O esteemed Shaykh, whenever I resolve to repent to Allah with a repentance that would be the end of this sin, I return to it, and I do not see how that happens. I hope you will advise and guide me to the correct path, which I will hold onto until I pass through this stage that causes me extreme pain. So I hope, O my Shaykh, that you will guide me to the sound path, and may Allah reward you with good, and increase you in knowledge, and peace.
A: It is obligatory for you to fear Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) and to watch Him constantly, and to remember that He is watching you, and nothing of your affair is hidden from Him. You must lower your gaze from what is forbidden and be chaste, until Allah enriches you
from His bounty through marriage. Allah the Exalted said:[An-Nur 24:30] , and Allah the Exalted said: [An-Nur 24:33] . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

Tell the believing men to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what they do.
قُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ وَيَحْفَظُوا فُرُوجَهُمْ ذَلِكَ أَزْكَى لَهُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا يَصْنَعُونَBut let them who find not [the means for] marriage abstain [from sexual relations] until Allah enriches them from His bounty.
وَلْيَسْتَعْفِفِ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَجِدُونَ نِكَاحًا حَتَّى يُغْنِيَهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ
