Working in Banks

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q2: Is working in banks forbidden, and is the salary received by an employee there forbidden?
A2: From what has been mentioned in the answer to the first question, it is clear that working in banks that deal in riba (usury or interest) is forbidden; because the employee there is either a writer of the accounts of those who deal in riba, or a receiver of the money in which riba is dealt, or a giver of it, or a carrier of it or a transporter of its papers from one office to another, or
from one place to another, or an assistant to these people in their works by fulfilling their needs at the bank and the like. They are engaged in forbidden work, directly or indirectly, and the salary received by the one obligated to perform a forbidden work is forbidden.
