Q: My maternal brother passed away, leaving behind only one daughter. I would like to know if I inherit from him?
A: If the situation is as described, you do not inherit from your aforementioned brother, because you are blocked by the descending heir, who is his daughter. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
