The child of zina inherits from his wife
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 17802 )
Q: Does a child of zina who has no legitimate father inherit from his wife and his children after their deaths, and does his maternal brother inherit from him as a distant relative after his death? This
and may Allah preserve you, and peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.
A: First: The wife with whom a valid marriage contract was concluded is inherited by her husband, whether he is a child of zina or otherwise. Likewise, his children inherit from him and he inherits from them, provided the conditions are met and the obstacles are removed. Second: If a man dies without leaving any children or parents, his maternal brother inherits from him, even if he is a child of zina; because he is connected through the mother, provided the obstacles are removed. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
