Q2: I went to perform 'Umrah in one of the blessed months of Ramadan,
and I performed tawaf and sa'y, then I prayed tarawih. I had a doubt regarding the farewell tawaf, so I asked one of the elderly men praying near me from the people of Najd about the farewell tawaf, and he said: "You do not need a farewell tawaf." I left the Noble Makkah after the prayer without performing the farewell tawaf. However, after a while, it was mentioned to me that I was required to perform a farewell tawaf, as well as some hadiths containing: . I ask for information on this matter and what I must do.
A2: If the matter is as you described, then nothing is obligatory upon you for leaving without a farewell tawaf. However, next time, if you intend to travel after 'Umrah, you should perform the farewell tawaf, and this is better. The farewell tawaf is only obligatory upon the pilgrim performing Hajj. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
