Disposal of the surplus funds from the income of an endowment

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 6769 )
Q: I have my father’s bequest, in which he specified a sacrificial animal and iftar in the mosque. I also have money from the income of the endowment (exceeding the bequest) amounting to approximately three hundred and fifty thousand riyals. Question: What should we do with the surplus? Should we build a mosque with it, distribute it to the heirs, or how should we dispose of it? Please issue a ruling, may Allah reward you.
A: The surplus from the rent is to be used to buy food and distribute it among the poor in Ramadan, after the two sacrifices, and for the necessary repairs of the house, in accordance with the bequest of the bequeather (may Allah have mercy on him). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
