Q1: What is the ruling if the bequest is not executed—that is, the bequest of the deceased? Does it cause harm to the deceased or not?
A1: It is obligatory for the guardian in a lawful bequest to execute it. If the guardian does not execute the bequest or executes it poorly, the burden is upon the guardian. Allah the Exalted said:
[Al-Baqarah 2:181] . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
