Ruling on selling books and tapes sent by charitable organizations

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 19300 )
Q2: After reading the fatwa sent to me stating that it is not permissible to sell Islamic books that are endowments and distributed by the General Presidency for Scholarly Research and Ifta, the issue remains regarding books, letters, and tapes sent and distributed by charitable organizations, such as the Cooperative Offices for Da'wah and Guidance spread throughout the Kingdom, and such as the Al-Haramain Charity Foundation, the World Assembly for Muslim Youth, and others. What
is the ruling on selling these sent books and tapes?

A2: These books, tapes, and letters that you receive from the Cooperative Offices for Da'wah and Guidance and from charitable organizations and the like—it is forbidden to dispose of them by selling them; because these books and tapes from the aforementioned entities are an endowment (waqf) for the person to whom they were sent, to benefit from them or give them to others without a price. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
