Taking a fee for teaching the Noble Qur'an

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 3210 )
Q1: The Islamic Association opened a center in the city of al-Ramtha for the memorization of the Noble Qur'an, and they asked me to teach there, especially since they knew that I have memorized the Qur'an and the rules of recitation, and they offered me money in exchange for teaching at the Qur'an House, so I refused because it is not permissible; due to what I have memorized
of the hadiths that prohibit that, so what is your opinion in detail?

A1: It is permissible for you to take a fee for teaching the Qur'an, for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) married a man to a woman in exchange for teaching her what he had of the Qur'an, and that was her bridal gift. Also, a Companion took a fee for curing a sick disbeliever by reciting the opening chapter of the Book over him, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding that:
You are most entitled to take wages for doing a Ruqya with Allah's Book.إن أحق ما أخذتم عليه أجرًا كتاب الله
Sahih al-Bukhari 5737
It was narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim, and what is prohibited is taking a fee for the recitation of the Qur'an itself, and asking people for money by reciting it.
