The second and third questions of the fatwa number ( 6904 )
Q 2, 3: Is it permissible for a man to give 40 sheep, on the condition that 80 sheep are returned to him after 4 years, paid in installments over another four years, with 20 heads paid each year? Is there any riba (usury or interest) in this, and if there is riba, what do we do about what has already passed? May Allah reward you with good. Is it permissible to sell a male goat for two female goats, either immediately or on a deferred basis? Please give us a ruling. May Allah reward you with good.
Vol. 2, 3: It is permissible to sell an animal for an animal with a difference in value and on credit; as narrated by the Imam Ahmad and Abu Dawud , from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both)
who said:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered me to send an army on camels that were with me. He said: So I loaded the people onto them until the camels were exhausted, and a remainder of the people was left. He said: So I said: O Messenger of Allah, the camels have been exhausted, and a remainder of the people is left with no mounts. He said to me: Buy us camels in exchange for young camels from the zakat camels until their place, until this expedition is completed. He said: And I used to buy one camel for two or three young camels from the zakat camels until their place, until I completed that expedition. When the zakat camels came, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) paid them.
. It was narrated by al-Daraqutni in its meaning, and al-Bayhaqi included it in the Sunan via the route of 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb from his father from his grandfather.
