Receiving salaries from banks

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 5923 )
Q3: What is the ruling on receiving monthly allowances from interest-based banks to which the university has assigned the payment of these allowances, such as the Bank of Cairo?
A3: It is not permissible to deposit money in banks that deal in riba (usury or interest); because this constitutes cooperation in sin, and Allah the Exalted has forbidden it, saying:
And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression.وَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَى وَلاَ تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ
[Al-Ma'idah 5:2]
, and it is obligatory to take one's money and deposit it in banks that do not deal in riba (usury or interest). If one cannot find an Islamic bank and fears the loss of his money, it is permissible to deposit it without taking interest.
