Exchanging a known car for another known car

The third question of Fatwa No. ( 9809 )
Q3: I have a car, and I wanted to exchange it for a car of the same type and model, except that it has two transmissions, while my car has only one transmission, and I would add 4,000 (four thousand) riyals to the owner of the car. Some students of knowledge told me that this is riba. What is your ruling on this matter?
A3: Exchanging a known car for another known car is permissible, whether it is of the same kind or a different kind, and whether they are equal in value or differ in value; because cars are not among the items subject to riba.
