Completing furniture from another store and selling it to the buyer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 14572 )
Q: I own some of the furniture in the store, but I do not own the rest. When a customer asks for an item that is not in stock, I am forced to buy the requested item from the nearest store. Second: I do not require an advance payment until the customer receives the item, or if he does not want it, I leave it until someone else comes. If he agrees, I give him the terms so that the sale is with the consent of all parties. Is
this included in riba (usury or interest) or not? Please inform us, and may Allah reward you with good, and peace be upon you.

A: First: If your sale of the furniture is for cash or on credit, and you own it, then there is nothing wrong with that. Second: If your sale of the furniture is for cash or on credit and you do not own it, the sale is invalid, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited selling what one does not own in the hadith of Hakim ibn Hizam , saying:
Do not sell what is not with you.لا تبع ما ليس عندك
