Is it permissible to sell the surplus furniture of the mosque in order to purchase speakers for the mosque?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : O esteemed Shaykh, is it permissible to sell the furniture that is surplus to the mosque?

The Shaykh : What?

The questioner : Is it permissible to sell the furniture that is surplus to the mosque and use the proceeds to purchase other furniture, such as speakers, carpets, and the like?

The Shaykh : As for the matter of mosque furniture, its speakers, the loudspeaker amplifier, and the like, the authority in this lies with the department responsible for mosques. However, if the mosque is private, belonging to a person who manages and oversees it, then there is no blame on him for selling what is surplus to its furnishings and using it for another benefit of the mosque. Do you understand? As for the mosques under the care of the Islamic Affairs Department, a person has no right to dispose of anything in them, even if we assume that this mosque has a thousand Qur'ans and another mosque has only ten and needs a hundred. It is not possible to transfer from the first mosque to the second without the permission of those responsible for them. As for private mosques, they have a different status.
