The fifteenth question from Fatwa No. ( 5611 )
Q15: How long was the interval between the pre-dawn meal and the dawn prayer?
A15: The time for the pre-dawn meal extends until the dawn, based on the saying of Allah the Exalted:[Al-Baqarah 2:187] and the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Sahih al-Bukhari 622, 623 It is agreed upon that it is authentic. And Ibn Umm Maktum was a blind man who would not call the adhan until he was told that it had become morning. It is recommended to delay the pre-dawn meal. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
