Q2: I am a student in my third year of secondary school, and, with Allah’s permission, the final exams will be in Ramadan. As you know, during exam days, a student needs strength and effort, since the exam days are consecutive, one day after another. I see that fasting requires some rest and sleep. Is it permissible to break the fast on exam days and then make them up on other days?
A2: It is not permissible to break the fast for the reason you mentioned; rather, it is forbidden, because it does not fall under the excuses that permit breaking the fast in Ramadan. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
