Ruling on a student asking his classmate during an exam

Answer:
What appears is that the state of the exam does not include asking. If the exam prohibits asking from a female student to her classmate, or from a male student to his classmate, then it is considered cheating. Therefore, the research and effort should be done before that, before entering the exam hall. As for in the exam hall, the male and female students must adhere to the instructions, and none of them is allowed to violate the instructions; because the purpose is to know what they possess of knowledge, virtue, insight, and jurisprudence.
