Answer: A school examination and the like are not considered an excuse that permits breaking the fast during the day in Ramadan, and it is not permissible to obey one’s parents in breaking the fast for an examination; because there is no obedience to a created being in disobedience to the Creator, but rather obedience is only in what is good, as stated in the authentic hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
