Hajj with forbidden wealth
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 13619 )
Q2: What is the ruling on one who performs Hajj with haram money — meaning: the proceeds from selling narcotics— and then they send Hajj tickets to their fathers and they perform Hajj, while some of them know that those funds were gathered from the trade in narcotics? Is this Hajj accepted or not?
A2: Performing Hajj with forbidden wealth does not prevent the validity of the Hajj, although there is sin regarding the earning of the forbidden wealth, and it diminishes the reward of the Hajj without invalidating it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
