The husband's permission to perform the obligatory pilgrimage

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 5659 )
Q: I am a married woman and I want to perform Hajj. I have been with my husband for forty years, and when I ask him to go on Hajj, he agrees, but when the time for Hajj or 'Umrah comes, he prevents me from going. He says I should stay home because he has sheep and cattle that I need to sit with and tend to. He has performed Hajj more than five times, and I want to perform Hajj. Is it permissible for me to go with my daughters' husbands? I asked my husband if I could go with one of my daughters and her husband, but he refused.
A: If the situation with your husband is as you described, and you have not yet performed the obligatory Hajj or 'Umrah, it is obligatory for you to travel with the mahram (close relative) you mentioned, even if your husband does not give permission. This is because leaving off Hajj while you are able to perform it is forbidden, and there is no obedience to any created being in disobedience to the Creator.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
