Delaying the Price and the Item in a Concluded Sale

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 19209 ):
Q1: What is the ruling on delaying the price and the item when the sale is concluded immediately?
A1: Delaying the price and the item is permissible if the sale is for a specific, existing item, such as a house or a car, and it is described in a way that removes ambiguity, provided the sale is concluded immediately, as long as they are not from the categories of riba (usury or interest). Otherwise, the exchange must take place in the session of the contract; based on the hadith of 'Ubadah ibn al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said:
Gold is to be paid for by gold, silver by silver, wheat by wheat, barley by barley, dates by dates, and salt by salt, like for like and equal for equal, payment being made hand to hand. If these classes differ, then sell as you wish if payment is made hand to hand.
