The Sale of Forbidden Items

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 8234 )
Q: My father works in Iraq , and he sends us our expenses. Along with the expenses, he sends us boxes of razor blades for us to sell,
and we spend the proceeds from them; this is because this arrangement is better in terms of currency exchange, and because these razors are generally used for shaving the beard, and rarely used for the mustache or the pubic area. Therefore, doubt has entered me: are they lawful or forbidden? That is, is it permissible to sell them or not? And what should we do with the proceeds? And if the family is insistent on selling them, what should my position be?

A: It is not forbidden for you to sell them and benefit from their price, but it is forbidden for the one who possesses them to use them for a forbidden purpose.
