Q1: What is the ruling on buying and selling guard dogs of a specific breed?
A1: It is not permissible to sell dogs, and their price is not lawful, whether they are guard dogs, hunting dogs, or otherwise; for what was narrated by Abu Mas'ud, 'Uqbah ibn 'Amr (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the utilization of the price of a dog, the earnings of prostitute and the earnings of a foreteller.
نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن ثمن الكلب، ومهر البغي، وحلوان الكاهن
