The Meaning of His Saying, “And glorify with the praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun… So remind by the Qur’an whoever fears the warning”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
and exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting, (40) And [in part] of the night exalt Him and after prostration. (41) And listen on the Day when the Caller will call out from a place that is near - (42) The Day they will hear the blast [of the Horn] in truth. That is the Day of Emergence [from the graves]. (43) Indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and to Us is the destination (44) On the Day the earth breaks away from them [and they emerge] rapidly; that is a gathering easy for Us. (45) We are most knowing of what they say
[Qaf 50:39-45]
And no rational person doubts that this phrase is a threat to these disbelievers. Allah knows best what they are saying, and He will hold them accountable for it. And you are not a compeller over them, meaning a guardian or an agent.
But remind by the Qur'an whoever fears My threat. فذكر بالقرآن من يخاف وعيد
[Qaf 50:45]
As for the one who is a disbeliever, turning away, and arrogant, when the verses of Allah are recited to him, he says, “The tales of the former people,” and he does not benefit from them; they are like the nonsense of old women in his view, may Allah protect us from that. This is unlike the believer, who sees that this speech is the greatest of speech and the most beneficial for the heart, the individual, and society. I ask Allah the Exalted to make me and you among those who remember the Qur’an, benefit from it, and recite it with its proper recitation. He is the All-Hearing, the Near. And all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds. And I send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions. After this brief speech on this surah, I hope that Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, will make it an opening of good for you and for us.
