Q10: Is it permissible to buy kilograms of meat in place of slaughtering a sheep for the 'Aqiqah, or is slaughtering the only permissible option?
A10: It is not permissible except to slaughter a sheep for a girl, and two sheep for a boy. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
