A Woman Praying in the Presence of Men
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 13452 )
Q: How should a woman pray if she is with non-mahram men, for example, in al-Masjid al-Haram ? And likewise, while traveling, if there is no mosque on the road with a prayer area for women?
A: It is obligatory for a woman to cover her entire body in prayer, except for her face and hands. However, if she prays in the presence of non-mahram men who can see her, it is obligatory for her to cover her entire body, including her face and hands. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
