Q4: What should a woman do when she is reciting the Qur'an and encounters a prostration verse? Should she prostrate without a covering or what should she do?
A4: It is preferable for a woman, when she encounters a prostration verse, to prostrate while her head is covered. If she prostrates for recitation without a head covering, we hope there is no blame on her; because prostration for recitation does not have the ruling of prayer, but rather it is submission to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) and drawing near to Him, like the other remembrances and acts of goodness.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.
