The twenty-fifth question of Fatwa No. ( 6505 )
Q25: I observe that the majority of the congregation, when they finish
the prayer, change their places to perform the sunnah prayer. Is there any virtue in this?
A25: No hadith has been established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding this, as far as we know, and the matter is broad in this regard. And Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to do it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
