Q9: Many of the worshippers change the place where they prayed the obligatory prayer to perform the voluntary prayer in the mosque . Is there a basis for this in the Sunnah?
A9: We are not aware of any authentic hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding changing the location to perform the voluntary prayer, but this was reported from Ibn 'Umar and others from the Salaf, and the matter is broad in this regard. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
