Leaving the Regular Voluntary Prayers
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 7404 )
Q1: I see some of the worshippers, when the imam concludes the prayer, leaving the mosque quickly without performing the sunnah and without seeking forgiveness. Will they be punished for leaving it?
A1: They will not be punished for leaving it, but they have left the prescribed sunnah after the obligatory prayer and have deprived themselves of its reward. However, if they perform the regular voluntary prayers at home, that is better. It is not befitting for them to depart before performing the prescribed remembrance of Allah after the prayer. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
