The Effect of Borrowing from the Real Estate Bank on Hajj

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 1941 )
Q: I hope you will answer me regarding the permissibility of borrowing from the real estate bank. Is it permissible for me to perform Hajj while I am borrowing from it, and is
it obligatory for me to pay zakah on any surplus money remaining with me from the loan?

A: If the conditions set by the state for borrowing from the bank are met, then it is permissible for him to borrow, and borrowing from the bank does not prevent Hajj. As for the money remaining with him after he receives it, once a lunar year has passed, it is obligatory for him to pay its zakah. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
