Q: In our country, Bangladesh , the adhan is called at the grave after the burial of the deceased, and the scholars have differed and disputed among themselves regarding this; some permit it, while others prohibit it.
A: It is not permissible to call the adhan or the iqamah at the grave after the burial of the deceased, nor in the grave before his burial, because that is an invented religious innovation. It is established from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:Sahih Muslim 1718a Agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim from the hadith of A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
