The ruling on the adhan and iqamah at the grave of the deceased when he is placed in it

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: What is the ruling on the adhan and iqamah at the grave of the deceased when he is placed in it?

A: There is no doubt that this is a religious innovation for which Allah has sent down no authority; because this was not transmitted from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) nor from his Companions (may Allah be pleased with them), and all good lies in following them and treading their path, as Allah the Exalted said:
And the first forerunners [in the faith] among the Muhajireen and the Ansar and those who followed them with good conduct - Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Himوَالسَّابِقُونَ الْأَوَّلُونَ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالْأَنْصَارِ وَالَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُمْ بِإِحْسَانٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا عَنْهُ
[At-Tawbah: 100] And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
'A'isha reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: He who innovates things in our affairs for which there is no valid (reason) (commits sin) and these are to be rejected.من أحدث في أمرنا هذا ما ليس منه فهو رد
Sahih Muslim 1718a
It is agreed upon that it is authentic, and in another wording he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
He who did any act for which there is no sanction from our behalf, that is to be rejected.من عمل عملًا ليس عليه أمرنا فهو رد
Sahih Muslim 1718b
And he (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say in the Friday sermon:
The best of the speech is embodied in the Book of Allah, and the best of the guidance is the guidance given by Muhammad. And the most evil affairs are their innovations; and every innovation is error.أما بعد؛ فإن خير الحديث كتاب الله،، وخير الهدي هدي محمد ﷺ، وشر الأمور محدثاتها، وكل بدعة ضلالة
Sahih Muslim 867a
Muslim narrated it in his Sahih from the hadith of Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him).
