The second question of Fatwa number ( 9891 )
Q2: Is the full ritual bath obligatory for one who experiences a wet dream, just as it is for major ritual impurity, and what is the method for performing the full ritual bath for major ritual impurity?
A2: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions.. And after: It is obligatory for him to perform the full ritual bath for major ritual impurity if he discharged semen due to the wet dream. As for the method of the full ritual bath for major ritual impurity, it suffices for him to wash his entire body with water, but it is better that he remove any impurity from himself, then perform the ablution for prayer, then run his fingers through the hair of his head, then pour three handfuls of water over his head, then pour water over the rest of his body. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
