Flatulence and passing wind are among the things that invalidate wudu'

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of the fatwa number ( 7371 )
Q 2: Does the air that comes out — and I mean flatulence or passing wind — invalidate wudu', and is istinja' required for it, or is the regular wudu' sufficient, consisting of rinsing the mouth, sniffing water into the nose, washing the face, and so on until the end of wudu', without washing the two passages?
A 2: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions.. And after: Flatulence and passing wind are among the things that invalidate wudu' by the consensus of the scholars. So if that happens to a person, it is obligatory for him to perform wudu' if he intends to pray. It is not prescribed to perform istinja' for the passing of flatulence or wind, which is: washing the two passages, namely: the front and the back. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
