Q3: We have in Yemen people who pray the 'Asr prayer together with the Zuhr prayer on a regular basis, and some scholars in the cities permit us to do so, especially in the city of Dhamar, so what is the response to that, and please do not act upon this issue.
A3: If the matter is as mentioned, it is not permissible for these people to combine the Zuhr and 'Asr prayers; rather, it is obligatory for them to pray Zuhr in its time and 'Asr in its time; because they are healthy and residents. As for the sick person and the traveler, there is no harm in combining for them, and the authentic hadiths from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) indicate that. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
