Rinsing the beard during ablution

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 8891 )
Q 1: Does the meaning of rinsing the beard during ablution is: the obligation of water reaching the skin of the beard?
A 1: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions.. And after: It is obligatory to wash the outer surface of a thick beard, but it is not obligatory to wash its inner surface or the skin beneath it; however, it is prescribed to rinse it. Al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “There is no disagreement regarding the obligation of washing a thick beard, nor is it obligatory to wash its inner surface or the skin beneath it, by consensus. This is the position of the majority of scholars from the Companions, the Successors, and those after them.” And Ibn Rushd said: “This is a matter in which I am not aware of any disagreement.” End of quote. As for a light beard through which the skin is visible, it is obligatory to wash both its inner and outer surfaces.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
