What is the ruling on interlacing the beard and fingers when a Muslim performs wudu'?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is the ruling on interlacing the beard and fingers when a Muslim performs wudu'?

The Shaykh : As for interlacing the fingers, there is a hadith from Luqayt ibn Sabirah, which is a good hadith, in which the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him:
Interlace between the fingers خلل بين الأصابع
Especially the fingers of the feet, because they are close together.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : As for interlacing the beard, there is a weak hadith from the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) that he used to interlace his beard during wudu'. However, it is not like interlacing the fingers or the hair on the face, such as the beard, mustache, or eyebrows. If it is thick and the skin is not visible through it, it is sufficient to wash the outer surface, except in the ghusl from janabah, where it is obligatory to wash both the outer and inner surfaces. As for when it is not thick, meaning the skin is visible through it, it is necessary to wash it in a way that allows water to reach the skin, because when the skin is visible from behind the hair, the term "confrontation" applies to it.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : The face is derived from this.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : Thank you, may Allah reward you.
