The obligation to remove nail polish and anything that prevents water from reaching the skin
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The sixteenth question of the fatwa number ( 6504 )
Q 16: We have heard some scholars say: it is permissible for a woman to perform wudu without removing nail polish (nail varnish). What is your opinion?
A 16: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions. After that: If the varnish has a substance on the surface of the nails, her wudu is not valid without removing it before performing wudu. If it has no substance, her wudu is valid, like henna.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
