Ruling on performing ghusl in the place of relieving oneself
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 7039 )
Q: Is it permissible not to separate the toilet (the place of relieving oneself) from the bathroom, and if any man takes a bath in this bathroom that is not separated from the toilet, is his purification complete and valid? This is because the atmosphere of the toilet is constantly contaminated, so what is the answer, do you think?
A: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions.. After that: It is better for the place of ghusl (the bathroom) to be separated from the place of relieving oneself, to avoid the likelihood of the presence of ritual impurity so that nothing of it touches him. However, if a person in a state of major ritual impurity or a menstruating woman after her menstruation has stopped takes a ghusl in a bathroom that is not separated from the place of relieving oneself, his ghusl is valid, and he must protect himself from any splashes of contaminated water that may fly up by any possible means.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
