The eighth question of Fatwa number ( 4255 )
Q 8: What is the ruling on one who remembers Allah in a place of relieving oneself, and what is the ruling on entering the place of relief while carrying something inscribed with one of the names of Allah, and is it permissible to perform ablution in this place?
A 8: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions.. After that: It is disliked for a Muslim to remember Allah the Exalted in a place of relieving oneself, but it is recommended to say when one intends to enter a place of relieving oneself: (I seek refuge in Allah from the male and female evil ones), and to say when one exits: (Your forgiveness), and it is disliked to enter the place of relief with something inscribed or written with the remembrance of Allah or His names, and it is disliked to perform ablution in it unless there is a pressing need. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
