If the deceased dies owing a debt to the state

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The sixth question of Fatwa No. ( 6431 )
Q6: As you know, the government, may Allah support it, grants loans for building or repairing houses, and thus a person may have a debt that he may not be able to pay off until after twenty-five years. And if the person dies, we know that his debt remains a liability on his person. What is the ruling on this debt? Is it like a debt owed to another person, or does it have a specific ruling?
A6: Whatever remains unpaid of this loan is considered a debt to be paid from his estate, like other debts, at its due time; due to the generality of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
The believer's soul is suspended by his debt until it is settled for him.نفس المؤمن معلقة بدينه حتى يقضى عنه
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1078Hasan (Darussalam)
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
