The fifth and sixth questions from the fatwa number ( 3907 )
Q5: If the imam says the takbir of ihram in the prayer for rain or the festivals, and then forgets the takbir that comes after the takbir of ihram and does not remember it until he has begun reciting al-Fatihah, should he continue reciting al-Fatihah, or should he stop and complete the takbirs?
A5: If he forgets the takbir that comes after the takbir of ihram until he has begun reciting al-Fatihah: the best is that he continues reciting and does not go back to the takbir; because it is a recommended practice, without any disagreement, as far as we know.
Q6: If the khatib raises his hands in the prayer for rain, or the ma’mum; is it better to turn the palms of his hands toward the earth and the backs of his hands toward the sky, or the opposite?
A6: The recommended practice is to turn the palms of his hands toward the sky and the backs of his hands toward the earth; because it was narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sunan Abi Dawud 1486Hasan Sahih (Al-Albani) narrated by Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah .
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
