A woman in the waiting period of mourning is invited to attend a wedding feast and other feasts; is it permissible for her to accept those invitations?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A questioner says: “O honorable Shaykh, a woman in the waiting period of mourning is invited to attend a wedding feast and other feasts; is it permissible for her to accept those invitations? And what are the dire necessities that permit her to go out?”

The Shaykh : Yes, as for at night, it is not permissible for her to accept the invitation, because it is not permissible for her to go out at night except for a dire necessity, such as a house fire and the fear of it collapsing, or the fear of thieves, or the like. As for during the day, the matter is broader. If she is invited to a feast, and if the inviters would not excuse her absence, and they are relatives whose invitation must be accepted, then there is no blame on her if she goes to the invitation and returns as soon as the feast ends. Otherwise, it is better for her to remain in her home in any case.
Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward our father and our Shaykh with the best reward, and all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon His servant and Messenger Muhammad.
