What are the prescribed etiquettes regarding the wedding feast and the invitation to it?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is there a difference between a wedding feast and other types of feasts?

Answer:
The correct view is that the ruling is general, but the wedding feast is more emphasized.
Q: Is there a difference between a private gathering and a public one? Because sometimes it is private among colleagues, or, for example, among relatives, and they say: Do not bring anyone with you.
A: The point is, if you are invited, you must respond; if you invite someone, he must respond, unless the feast involves an evil that he is unable to refute.
Q: For example, the feast is at my place, and they bring a young man and say: Do not bring anyone?
A: Are you the one inviting?
Q: Yes.
A: You must invite those who are suitable for him; do not invite those who would cause him difficulty. If you invited Zayd, do not bring people who would cause Zayd difficulty. If you bring someone who causes Zayd difficulty, you have not honored him.
Q: What if the poor remain in it? May Allah reward you for your work.
A: Do not bring to him any poor person or anyone else who cannot handle it, if he has set a condition on you; in this case, do not invite anyone.
Q:
has disobeyed Allah and His Messengerفقد عصى الله ورسولَه
Sunan Ibn Majah 3762Da'if (Darussalam)
If he does that, must he repent?
A: He must repent; for every sin, he must repent from it.
Q: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The poor are turned away from itيُرَدُّ عنها الفقراء
?
A: It means: some people may invite the rich and leave out the poor; he did not intend all people.
Q: The point is regarding its permissibility, meaning: he did not come...?
A: It depends on the invitation. But when a person invites, let him invite the poor and the rich from among his neighbors and relatives; he should not single out the rich. The Sunnah is to invite everyone: his relatives, his neighbors, both the rich and the poor.
Q: But what if a poor person or a needy person comes without an invitation?
A: It is better that he be accepted and honored.
