Going Out and Traveling for the Purpose of Conveying the Message

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question twenty-two from Fatwa number ( 18612 )
Q22: Is going out and traveling around the world to convey the call considered: (a permanent migration) or is it considered an error based on the hadith - whose authenticity we do not know - which states: (There is no going out after the conquest, only jihad and intention)? We ask for your guidance?
A22: The hadith was reported with the wording:
There is no migration after the Conquest (of Mecca), but Jihad and sincere intention. When you are asked to set out (for the cause of Islam), you should set out,لا هجرة بعد الفتح ولكن جهاد ونية، وإذا استنفرتم فانفروا
Sahih Muslim 1864
, and it is recorded in the two Sahihs from the hadith of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), and the meaning of the hadith is that the migration, which is leaving one's homeland, which was an individual obligation on people from Makkah to al-Madinah , ceased after the conquest of Makkah , except that leaving for the sake of jihad remains, as does leaving for the sake of a good intention, such as fleeing from the abode of disbelievers, going out in pursuit of knowledge, and fleeing with one's religion from trials. Accordingly, the hadith is specific to migration from Makkah ; because it became an abode of Islam, whereas migration from the lands of disbelievers to the lands of Muslims remains until the Hour. As for calling to Islam and spreading it in the lands of disbelievers, it is a great good
and a noble deed, and what the Muslim encounters in this of hardship and harm, and what he spends of wealth - is of the jihad for which he is rewarded, but it is not in the sense of jihad against disbelievers, which is fighting them, and in both there is good and great reward. In the two Sahihs, from the hadith of Sahl ibn Sa'd al-Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) on the day of Khaybar :
for by Allah, if one man is guided on the right path (i.e. converted to Islam) through you, it would be better for you than (a great number of) red camels.فوالله لأن يهدي الله بك رجلاً واحدًا خير لك من حمر النعم
Sahih al-Bukhari 3701
. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
